Your photos are private — that's the deal
Portraze ("we", "us") was built on a simple principle: your photos belong to you, and only you. This policy explains exactly what happens with the photos and data you share with us.
What we collect
- Photos you upload — only used to generate your headshots.
- Basic technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, used for security and site analytics.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card details.
How your photos are handled
- Encrypted in transit — all uploads happen over HTTPS.
- Used only for generation — your photos are sent to our AI image provider solely to create your requested headshots.
- Auto-deleted within 24 hours — original uploads are permanently deleted from our servers no later than 24 hours after upload. Generated headshots follow the same schedule for unregistered sessions.
- Never used for training — we do not train AI models on your photos, and our AI provider is contractually prohibited from doing so.
- Never sold — we never sell, rent or trade your personal information or photos to third parties.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies (and, if you consent, privacy-respecting analytics). You can block cookies in your browser without losing core functionality.
Data retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Photos are deleted within 24 hours. Payment records are retained as required by law for tax and accounting purposes.
Children's privacy
Portraze is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g., under GDPR, CCPA or similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@portraze.com.
