What it does

Motion blur and missed focus are the two most common reasons a good photo gets thrown away. This tool reconstructs edge detail — eyes, hair, fabric weave — and returns a sharp image from a soft original.

Getting the best result

Best on a single face that fills a reasonable part of the frame; extreme motion blur across the whole scene will not fully recover.

Common questions

What does the Unblur Image tool do?

Motion blur and missed focus are the two most common reasons a good photo gets thrown away. This tool reconstructs edge detail — eyes, hair, fabric weave — and returns a sharp image from a soft original.

Any tips for getting a good result from Unblur Image?

Best on a single face that fills a reasonable part of the frame; extreme motion blur across the whole scene will not fully recover.

Will this change how I look?

No. Repair tools only reverse damage in the source photo — blur, grain, cracks and fading. They do not reshape your face, smooth your skin or change your features.

How bad can the source photo be?

Moderately bad is fine: soft focus, heavy JPEG noise, creases, faded colour. If the face is less than about 150 pixels wide, there is not enough signal left and the result will look invented rather than restored.

Is the result high resolution?

Yes. Enhancement and upscaling run at 4x, so a 1000px phone photo comes back at 4000px on the long edge — large enough for print and for LinkedIn or press use.
